Components	Function
Power components:	An air compressor compresses air to 0.4-1.0 MPa and stores it in a gas storage tank.
Execution element:	Cylinder (linear motion) or pneumatic motor (rotational motion).
Controlling element：	Directional valves, pressure regulating valves, flow control valves, etc., control gas flow parameters.
Auxiliary components:	Filter, dryer, lubricator (three piece), muffler, pipeline (including quick connector), etc.

Hose Barb Design

Barb's Outside Diameter (OD)

The OD of the barb(s) needs to be correlated to ID of the tube it will be attached too. When designing a connector, the accuracy of the tube's ID, material, tube flexibility, and application will be critical. For tighter seals where no clamp will be used, you'll need to increase the OD of the barb(s), but be careful as to not go overboard. If you do, installation could become your biggest bottle-neck.

Sharp vs. Rounded Edges

Depending on the tube/hose material used, you'll need to develop a barb that is just sharp enough to grip/seal the tube, yet round enough as to not cut into the tube.

Parting Line

We'll go into more detail later in this post, but the parting line is often overlooked when it comes to the design of connectors even though it plays a crucial role. Essentially, injection molding tools must be designed to avoid a parting line being on the end barb itself. This is critical towards creating an effective seal.

Q: What is your terms of payment?

A: Usually T/T 100% advance payment; T/T 50% as deposit when mass customization, the balance before shipment.

Q: How about your delivery time?

A: Generally, it will take 7-15 days after receiving advance payment. The specific delivery time depend on the available inventory or actual production schedule.

Q: What's the shipping way?

A: Usually by DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx express or as your request.

Q: Can you produce according to the samples?

A: Yes, we are good at doing all kind of customized plastic fittings and we can produce by your samples or technical drawings. We accept ODM & OEM.

Q: How much pressure can a barb fitting handle?

A: Barbed style fittings are limited to relatively low pressures (usually below 150 or 125 psi) due to the limitations of the soft and flexible tubing. Barb style fittings also have smaller waterways than push-to-connects or compression fittings.

Q: How are barb fittings measured?

A: Barb fittings are measured by tube I.D. (inner diameter), while push-quick fittings are measured by tube O.D. (outer diameter). If you already have tubing that you are using, be sure to match the tubing to the appropriate fitting for a tight seal.

Q: Do barb fittings leak?

A: Similarly, the barbs themselves can suffer from wear, especially if made from softer materials. Cracks and fractures that develop due to material fatigue compromise the integrity of the seal between the hose and the barb, resulting in leaks.

Q: Do I really need hose clamps for barb fittings?

A: For highly inflexible tubing, clamps are often necessary. Tubing that has been repeatedly installed and removed over one or more barbs and is no longer elastic enough to relax behind a barb will require a clamp, too.

Q: What PSI is a barb fitting?

A: Barb fittings work best at a pressure below 125 psi, and any connection over 100 psi should be assisted by tubing clamps. These fittings can be difficult to use with harder tubing that cannot easily slide over the barbs. Non-flexible tubing should not be used with barb fittings.
