The ability to make a fast and reliable connection is the most significant benefit of Push to Connect fittings. Whether a new installation or an emergency repair, saving time is saving money.
Unlike gluing or soldering, the tubing does not need not be completely dry.
Push to Connect fittings are available in various materials, for different applications, to match the corresponding tube or pipe as stated above.
They are easily detached for inserting new tubing or performing other maintenance.
Push to Connect product lines cover many different styles, in a variety of sizes, for multiple applications.
Push to Connect fittings allow for easy connections without having to glue, solder, use clamps or compression style unions.
Brass Push-To-Connect Fittings: Brass fittings are known for their durability and corrosion resistance. They're perfect for general-purpose applications where reliability is key.
Nickel-Plated Brass Push-To-Connect Fittings: With enhanced corrosion resistance, these fittings are ideal for more demanding environments. The nickel plating offers added protection against corrosion.
Nickel-Plated Brass with Metal Collet Push-To-Connect Fittings: These fittings feature a metal collet that provides a firmer grip on the tubing, making them suitable for high-stress applications.
Stainless Steel Push-To-Connect Fittings: Made for extreme corrosion resistance, stainless steel fittings are perfect for harsh environments like saltwater or chemical exposure.
Composite Body Push-To-Connect Fittings
Offering a balance between performance and cost, composite fittings are durable yet affordable, making them suitable for general-use applications.
DOT Brass Push-To-Connect Fittings
These fittings are specifically designed to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) standards for use in air brake systems in commercial vehicles.
FDA Plastic Push-To-Connect Fittings
Crafted from FDA-approved materials, these fittings are safe for use in food production and manufacturing, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Proper Installation of Push-On Fittings
Inspect the Fitting and Hose
Check for damage, deformities, or debris that could affect the seal.
Clean both the fitting and the hose to ensure a proper fit.
Cut the Hose Properly
Use a sharp cutting tool to make a clean, perpendicular cut.
Avoid jagged edges, as they can compromise the seal.
Lubrication (Optional but Recommended for Stiff Hoses) Apply a small amount of lubricant (soapy water) to ease installation, especially for larger diameter hoses.
Align the Hose with the Barb
Position the hose directly in front of the fitting to ensure straight insertion.
Push the Hose onto the Barb Press firmly until the hose extends beyond the last barb and sits flush with the fitting's collar.
For large diameter hoses (up to ¾”), use an installation tool to ensure a proper seal.
Verify the Installation
Ensure no part of the barb is visible and the hose is fully seated.
