Advantages of DOT Air Brake Fittings Nylon Tubing
Compact Design
DOT-approved push-to-connect air brake fittings are compact, making them ideal for installation in confined areas. Unlike compression fittings, which require tools for installation, push-to-connect fittings only need tools for the pipe thread ends, saving time and minimizing the risk of damage to surrounding components.
Leak-Free Seals
Achieving leak-free seals is straightforward with DOT-approved push-to-connect fittings. Simply push the fitting onto the tube or hose. Compression fittings, in contrast, require precise torque to ensure a proper seal, which can be more time-consuming and prone to error.
Minimal Adjustments Required
Push-to-connect fittings typically do not require adjustments after installation to remain leak-free. Compression fittings, often need retightening, which can cause crimping or distortion of the tube, leading to future leaks.

Commercial Vehicle Air Brake System
1. Brake line extension
Braking systems for commercial vehicles (e.g. trucks, buses, trailers) often require compressed air to be transferred over long distances, e.g. from the storage tank (at the frame) to the brake air chamber (near the wheels). Union can be used to seamlessly connect multiple sections of nylon tubing to ensure stable air pressure transfer while meeting the DOT FMVSS 121 requirements for brake response time (≤1.5 seconds).
2. Trailer and towing vehicle brake line connection
The brake lines between the trailer and the tractor need to be connected and disconnected quickly, and at the same time ensure the reliability of air pressure transmission during emergency braking. This is where Union can be used to connect the nylon lines of the tractor and trailer.
Industrial pneumatic system
1. Compressor air delivery line
Use Union to extend nylon lines around obstacles or across different areas. For example, industrial compressors deliver high-pressure air to remote equipment (e.g., air tools, automated machinery).
