1. Sealing enhancement: fill the gap and prevent medium leakage
The plastic sleeve will be squeezed by the nut during assembly and fit tightly between the outer wall of the pipe and the inner wall of the brass fittings.
Its elastic properties can fill the tiny unevenness of the pipe surface (such as fine scratches and burrs) or the gap between the fittings and the pipe, forming an additional sealing barrier. Combined with the mechanical clamping force of the mesh nut, it significantly improves the sealing of the overall connection and effectively prevents leakage of media such as water, gas, and oil.
It is especially suitable for low-pressure to medium-pressure fluid systems (such as tap water, compressed air, and household gas auxiliary pipelines), making up for the insufficient sealing problem that the rigid contact of metal parts may cause.

2. Protect the pipe: avoid direct friction damage to the metal
When the mesh nut is tightened, the brass nut and the pipe (especially thin-walled pipes, such as copper pipes, aluminum-plastic pipes, plastic hoses, etc.) may directly contact and cause friction and extrusion, resulting in scratches, deformation and even rupture of the pipe surface (especially plastic or aluminum pipes).
The plastic sleeve acts as an intermediate buffer layer to isolate the metal nut from the pipe, avoid direct rigid contact between the two, reduce wear and extrusion damage during tightening, protect the integrity of the pipe, and extend its service life.
