Correct installation and disassembly methods:

1. Installation steps
(1) Preparation work
Check the integrity of the components: Confirm that the copper pipes, nuts, and push in fittings are free of deformation, cracks, or burrs, and that the threads are not damaged.
Cleaning components: Use a clean cloth to wipe the surface of the copper tube and the inside of the nut to ensure that there is no oil or impurities, and to avoid affecting the sealing effect.
Marking position: Mark the insertion depth on the copper pipe (usually to the bottom of the joint) to ensure accurate installation length.
(2) Insert copper tube
Align the copper tube vertically with the inlet of the joint and push it evenly until it contacts the bottom of the joint (or reaches the marked position). Ensure that the copper tube is inserted properly to avoid air leakage or loose connection due to shallow insertion.
(3) Install the nut
Insert the nut onto the copper pipe, slowly screw it into the external thread of the joint, and pre tighten it by hand until it cannot rotate. Attention: When screwing in, avoid tilting the nut to prevent thread damage or seal failure.
(4) Tool tightening
Use an appropriate size open-end wrench or socket wrench (according to the size of the nut hex head) to tighten the nut evenly clockwise.
(5) Sealing test
After installation, apply pressure to the air brake system (such as connecting the air source), apply soapy water to the connection, and observe if any bubbles are generated.
If there are bubbles, it is necessary to recheck the installation or replace the components.

2. Disassembly steps
(1) Release system pressure
Ensure that the air brake system has been completely depressurized (such as disconnecting the air source, stepping on the brake pedal to exhaust residual air), to avoid the danger of high-pressure air spraying out during disassembly.
(2) Loosen the nut
Use a wrench to secure the connector body, and loosen the nut counterclockwise with another wrench (to prevent the connector from damaging other components as the nut rotates).
If the nut is difficult to turn due to rust or excessive tightness, you can first spray penetrating oil on the thread, let it stand for a moment, and then try to disassemble it.
(3) Pull out the copper tube
After unscrewing the nut, gently shake the copper tube and pull it out vertically to avoid excessive bending or damage to the copper tube.
If the copper tube is tightly clamped with the joint, the copper tube can be slightly rotated to assist in pulling out, but it is necessary to prevent deformation of the copper tube.
(4) Inspection and maintenance
After disassembly, clean the nuts, joints, and copper pipes, and check:
Whether the end of the copper tube is worn or fuzzy (if necessary, cut off the damaged part and reprocess the pipe mouth).
Check if the nut thread is loose and if the joint sealing surface is scratched (if damaged, replace the component).
If reinstallation is required, it is recommended to replace the sealing ring with a new one (if any) or apply a small amount of lubricant (such as Vaseline) to assist in sealing.
