Function
1. Dynamic sealing: adaptive active compensation for complex working conditions
The spring preload mechanism compresses the stainless steel spring built into the component during installation, continuously applying axial pressure to the brass nut. This pre tightening force can compensate for minor deformations caused by the following factors:
(1) Continuous vibration during vehicle operation may cause interface looseness, and the spring offsets the vibration energy through elastic deformation to maintain a constant clamping force.
(2) During the operation of the braking system, temperature fluctuations (-40 ° C to 120 ° C) and differences in expansion coefficients between brass and hose materials (such as rubber or nylon) may cause gaps. The spring automatically adjusts pressure through expansion and contraction to prevent leakage.
(3) After long-term use, the hose may shrink or deform slightly, and the continuous pressure of the spring can fill potential gaps.
The double seal design is enhanced, combined with the precision threads of brass nuts and the conical surface of hose joints, forming a mechanical seal (metal metal contact), while the spring pressure further ensures that there is no gas escape between the hose and the joint, especially suitable for high-pressure (200-250 psi) environments.
2. Anti vibration and impact: Extend system life
As a "flexible connection medium", springs can absorb the impact energy transmitted by vehicle bumps, emergency braking, or engine vibrations, avoiding thread wear or interface cracking caused by rigid connections.
For example, in the frequent braking conditions of heavy trucks, ordinary nuts may loosen due to metal fatigue, while spring components dynamically adjust pressure to distribute stress throughout the entire contact surface, reducing local wear.
The continuous pressure of the spring can suppress the nut from rotating in the opposite direction during vibration, and even without the use of thread glue or anti loosening washers, it can significantly reduce the risk of loosening, which is in line with D O. The requirement of "zero fault tolerance" for the braking system.
3. Quick disassembly and reusability: reducing maintenance costs
The hexagonal nut design is compatible with standard wrenches, and only needs to be tightened to the recommended torque (usually 25-30 Nm) during installation, without the need for special tools. The spring automatically provides uniform pressure and does not require complex calibration.
Compared to traditional crimping joints, it eliminates the need for hydraulic crimping machines and is particularly suitable for quick maintenance in the field or workshop.
The high ductility of brass material and the fatigue resistance of stainless steel spring allow the component to maintain its performance even after multiple disassembly:
(1) When disassembling, the spring rebounds without permanent deformation, and the threads are not easily scratched.
(2) After cleaning, it can be reassembled to avoid the high cost of replacing disposable parts (such as saving over 30% of maintenance costs annually for truck fleets).
