Working Principle

1. Sealing mechanism
Filling the gap between threads:
When threaded connection, the pre-coated sealant fills the tiny gap between the threads, forming a continuous sealing layer and preventing the medium from leaking.
Curing reaction:
Part of the sealant undergoes curing reaction after contact with air or under pressure, forming an elastic or rigid sealing layer, further enhancing the sealing effect.
2. Locking function
Anti-loosening performance:
After curing, the sealant increases the friction between the threads, preventing the threads from loosening due to vibration or temperature changes.
Stress dispersion:
The sealing layer evenly distributes the thread stress, reduces local stress concentration and prolongs the life of the joint.

Material properties

1. Main components

Base resin:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE): high temperature and chemical resistance, suitable for high pressure environment.

Silicone (Silicone): good elasticity, suitable for low temperature or vibration environment.

Epoxy resin (Epoxy): high strength, suitable for permanent sealing.

Curing agent:

Promote the curing reaction of sealants, commonly anaerobic (curing in an oxygen-free environment) or moisture curing type.

2. Performance characteristics

Temperature Resistance: Typical operating temperatures range from -60°C to +200°C, with some high performance products reaching +300°C.

Chemical resistance: resistant to oils, fuels, acids, alkalis and solvents.

Pressure resistance: Static sealing pressures up to 100 bar, dynamic sealing pressures up to 50 bar.

Curing time: initial curing time 5-30 minutes, complete curing time 24 hours (depending on the specific product).
