Hex Bushing is a type of reducing threaded connector used in piping systems to connect pipes or fittings of different sizes. Its two ends have different thread sizes, with larger male threads on the outside and smaller internal threads on the inside, used to reduce the diameter of the pipeline and achieve conversion between different pipe diameters.

The reason why Hex Bushing is called "hexagonal bushing" is because its shape has a hexagonal head, which is easy to tighten and disassemble with a wrench.

 

 

Water supply and drainage system: connection of domestic or commercial hot and cold water pipelines.

Gas pipeline: used for diameter conversion of gas pipelines to ensure safe sealing.

Air conditioning refrigeration: Used in HVAC systems to connect copper pipes or equipment of different diameters.

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems: used for high-pressure fluid or air pipelines.

Agricultural irrigation: used for sprinkler irrigation systems, water pump interface conversion, etc.

Industrial pipelines: Fluid transportation systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and shipbuilding.

 

 

Pressure resistance, varying according to different conditions, can reach up to 1200psi

Applicable temperature:- Suitable for cold water, hot water, and low-pressure steam systems from 20 ℃ to 200 ℃.

Brass is resistant to general water corrosion, but may require nickel plating treatment in environments containing chlorine or seawater.

 

 

Advantages	limitations
Compact design: Hexagonal structure saves space and is easy to install.	Limited conversion size: usually only suitable for 1-2 levels of pipe diameter differences (such as 1 "to 3/4" conversion).
High sealing performance: The cone thread has good self sealing performance.	Repeated disassembly is prone to wear: the sealing performance of the yellow thread decreases after repeated use.
Durability: Brass is wear-resistant and has a long lifespan.	High cost: about 20% to 30% higher than the price of ordinary straight connectors.
