Brass Insert

1. Essential role
Enhance the strength of nylon tube ends. When the nylon tube is inserted into the quick-connect fitting, the tube end is subjected to radial pressure (up to 50N/mm²) from the internal stainless steel clamp, which is prone to deformation or cracking. The brass insert serves as the inner lining skeleton to provide rigid support.
Improve locking reliability. The barbs on the outer wall of the insert bite into the inner wall of the nylon tube to prevent the tube from being pulled out of the quick-connect fitting by high-pressure gas or external force (the pull-off resistance is increased by 3-5 times).
Optimize the sealing foundation: ensure that the tube end is round and not collapsed, so that the O-ring is evenly stressed and micro-leakage is eliminated.
2. Key requirements of the DOT standard
Anti-vibration test. The insert must ensure that the nylon tube does not loosen in the simulated 2 million kilometers of driving vibration (SAE J1407 standard).
Burst pressure protection. When the pipeline is abnormally pressurized, the insert must delay the rupture of the nylon tube (withstands >800 PSI instantaneous pressure).
