A method for detecting the sealing performance of connectors

1. Firstly, check the appearance of the joint for cracks, deformation, or wear, especially whether the sealing ring (O-ring) is intact, without aging or damage. Then remove any oil, dust, or foreign objects from the surface of the joint to ensure that the sealing surface is clean.
2. Use an air pump or hydraulic pump to slowly pressurize the system to working pressure, and evenly apply soapy water or specialized leak detection fluid to the joint seal. If there are persistent bubbles, it indicates a leak. If there are no bubbles, the sealing is good.

Matters needing attention:
Safety first: Keep away from the front of the joint when applying pressure to prevent accidental rupture.
Avoid overpressure: Do not exceed 1.5 times the nominal pressure of the joint to avoid permanent deformation.
Follow standards: Refer to DOT standards (such as FMVSS 121) or manufacturer manuals for operation.
