Copper Gasket

Sealing Medium for HTHP:
This is the most essential difference between Copper Gasket and all previous components (nut, reducing nut, plug, cap). It is not a structural part, but a pure sealing element.
Nut/reducing nut: Provides connection structure and thread tightening force, and its own cone surface (nut inner cone) is part of the sealing surface.
Plug/Cap: It is a port terminal or protective cover with sealing function, and its own cone surface (plug outer cone, cap inner cone) is the main sealing surface.
Copper Gasket: Independent of the nut and the connector body, it is a soft, deformable sealing gasket sandwiched between two rigid cones (usually the outer cone of the connector body and the inner cone of the matching port). It does not provide structural connection itself, and relies entirely on the compression force exerted by the cones on both sides and the nut.

SAE 45° Internal Cone Port Connection: This is the most classic application. Seal the connection of a connector body with an external cone (e.g. straight connector, elbow) to a device with a SAE 45° internal cone threaded hole (e.g. hydraulic valve block, pump housing, tank flange, engine block, transmission housing, test bench interface).
High-pressure, high-temperature systems: Engine fuel injection systems, turbocharging systems, exhaust systems (EGR), high-temperature hydraulic systems.
Severe working conditions: Connection points with strong vibration, thermal cycles or shock loads.
High compatibility requirements: The fluid that needs to be sealed is aggressive to rubber or plastic (some synthetic oils, fuel additives, high-temperature media).
Rigid seals with limited space: Where hoses cannot be used or extremely compact flange connections are required.
