Female Adapter - Swivel(with Gasket)

1. Eliminate torsion. When the hose is connected to the Hose Barb, if the hose is subjected to torsion (such as when the direction needs to be adjusted during installation, or when the equipment is vibrating during operation), the rotation function allows the Female threaded end to remain fixed (tightened on the equipment) while the Hose Barb end and the hose connected to it can rotate freely. This prevents the hose from tangling, twisting, fatigue, or even rupture due to torsion.
2. Simplify installation and maintenance. During installation, there is no need to repeatedly tighten or loosen the entire joint for alignment. Simply rotate the hose or Hose Barb part to easily adjust to the optimal position. Disassembly and maintenance are also more convenient.
3. Extend the life of the hose and significantly reduce the wear and failure of the hose caused by torsional stress.
4. Improve system reliability, ensure a secure connection, and reduce the risk of flow restriction or leakage caused by hose kinking.

With Gasket
Structural position, the gasket is usually located at the bottom (sealing surface) of the female threaded port.
Function:
Main sealing interface, when the female end is tightened onto the male threaded port, the gasket is compressed between the sealing surface of the adapter and the sealing surface at the top of the male threaded port, forming a reliable end face seal.
Reduce dependence on thread seals, although the pipe threads themselves (especially the tapered thread NPT/BSPT) have certain sealing capabilities, gaskets provide a more reliable and easier to control main seal. This reduces the stringent requirements for thread processing accuracy and tightening torque, and reduces the risk of leakage due to thread scratches or improper tightening.
Compensate for uneven surfaces, gasket materials can fill tiny surface unevenness to ensure sealing.
Isolate different metals, non-metallic gaskets (such as nylon, PTFE, rubber) can effectively prevent galvanic corrosion when brass fittings are connected to steel or stainless steel ports.
Reduce the risk of over-tightening. Gasket seals usually require less tightening torque than pure thread seals, reducing the risk of over-tightening and damaging the threads
