The Female Elbow 90°-Fixed is a brass elbow in the DOT PUSH IN series designed for fixed line turning. Its core function is to provide a rigid connection for 90° turning of a line through the combination of a female thread and a Push-In connector. Unlike the Union Elbow, it is a non-removable, one-piece construction that emphasizes stability and sealing reliability, and is suitable for fluid systems that require long-term maintenance-free or high-vibration environments.
Differentiation highlights
Fixed design: No live-connection structure, reducing the risk of leakage and improving pressure resistance.
Threaded + Push-In dual interface: One end is internally threaded, the other end is Push-In quick-connect, adapting to the mixed connection needs of complex systems.
Compact space optimization: Right-angle elbow design saves installation space, suitable for dense piping inside the equipment.
Installation and maintenance
1. Threaded end installation
Clean male threaded surfaces to remove burrs or stains.
If additional sealing is required, wrap PTFE tape clockwise along the threads (2-3 turns) to avoid covering the port.
Screw in manually until it fits the sealing surface and then reinforce with a wrench 1/4 turn (over-tightening resulting in deformation of the threads is prohibited).
2. Push-In End Operation
Mark the line depth (usually 1.5 times the pipe diameter) before insertion to ensure that the push-in connection is in place.
For hard tubes, cut the ports flat. For hoses, it is recommended to use a support sleeve to prevent bending.
3. Maintenance taboos
Not to be dismantled in the field: the fixed structure is designed to be replaced in its entirety if damaged.
Regularly check the corrosion of the threaded end, the plating is damaged and needs to be rust-proofed in time.
Female Elbow 90°-Fixed is the preferred choice for the following scenarios due to its higher pressure resistance, lower leakage rate, and cost advantage (15-20% lower price):
Long-term fixed installations (e.g., pre-built piping in construction).
High-vibration equipment (e.g., hydraulic systems in construction machinery).
Small to medium sized projects that are budget sensitive but require reliability.
