Reusable Ferrules

Reusable Ferrules are auxiliary sealing and fastening components used with barbed connectors. They are designed to enhance the connection strength and sealing between the hose and the barbed interface, while solving the replacement cost problem of traditional disposable ferrules.

1. Enhanced sealing:
The sealing of the barb connector relies on the bite between the barb and the inner wall of the hose, but when there is vibration, pressure fluctuations or hose aging, a small gap may appear and cause leakage. The repeatable ferrule squeezes the outer wall of the hose so that the inner wall of the hose fits more closely to the annular groove of the barb, fills the potential gap, and forms a "double seal" (barb inner bite + ferrule outer squeeze).
2. Improve connection strength:
For hoses with larger diameters (such as more than 1 inch) or harder textures (such as PVC pipes, nylon pipes), simple barb bites may be difficult to withstand the weight of the pipeline or fluid pressure, causing the hose to fall off the barb. The repeatable ferrule "locks" the hose on the barb through radial pressure, significantly improving the pull-out resistance, especially suitable for high pressure (such as 10-20bar) or vibration environments (such as mechanical equipment pipelines).
3. Reuse and reduce costs:
Traditional disposable ferrules (such as plastic hose clamps and crimped metal ferrules) are easy to break or deform during disassembly and cannot be used a second time. Reusable ferrules have strong toughness and can maintain fastening performance after multiple disassembly, reducing the frequency of accessory replacement and long-term maintenance costs.
4. Compatible with a variety of hose materials:
Compatible with a variety of flexible or semi-rigid hoses such as rubber, plastic, silicone, and nylon. By adjusting the tightening force (such as adjusting the tightness of the ferrule with a nut or wrench), it can adapt to hoses with different wall thicknesses to avoid excessive extrusion and damage to the hose.
