1. Installation steps:
Choose a barb size that matches the inner diameter of the hose, ensure that the hose is not damaged, and clean the impurities on the hose end and the connector barb.
Put the hose on the barb with force (lubricate with soapy water if necessary, but avoid using solvents that affect rubber), and ensure that the hose completely covers the root of the barb.
Tighten the compression nut so that the hose is firmly clamped between the barb and the nut (avoid over-tightening to cause deformation of the hose or nut).
Wrap an appropriate amount of raw tape or apply thread sealant on the threaded end, align it with the internal thread fitting and tighten it slowly to ensure sealing.
2. Precautions for maintenance and reuse:
When disassembling, loosen the threaded end first, then loosen the compression nut, and gently pull out the hose (if the hose is stuck, carefully cut it and replace it with a new one).
Check whether the barb is deformed or worn, whether the thread is intact, and whether the seal (such as the O-ring) is aged. Replace the seal if necessary.
Before reinstalling, clean any remaining sealant or impurities on the barbs and threads, and make sure the hose is a new hose or an undamaged old hose (if the old hose has cracks, it needs to be replaced).
