Ballseat Union

Ballseat Union is a brass fitting used to achieve detachable connection in piping systems. It has both Hose Barb and Ballseat structures. Its main function is to connect two sections of hose or a hose and a pipe, and allow quick disassembly for maintenance. At the same time, the ball seat seal design ensures the sealing of fluid transmission.

1. Core logic of connection and sealing
When the hose end is connected, the ridges of the pagoda head are embedded in the inner wall of the hose. After the hose clamp is tightened, the hose material is squeezed and deformed, filling the gap between the ridges to form a mechanical lock and squeeze seal to prevent the hose from falling off and fluid leakage.
When the ball seat end is connected, the inclined surface of the ball seat and the sealing surface of the counterpart (such as another ball seat, cone or O-ring) fit tightly under the action of the thread tightening force, and the sealing is achieved in the following ways:
Metal surface contact: Direct extrusion of the high-precision machined inclined surface is suitable for high pressure or non-elastic seal scenarios;
With the assistance of elastic seals, the O-ring is squeezed between the inclined surface of the ball seat and the counterpart surface, filling the microscopic gap through deformation to improve the sealing performance.
2. Advantages of detachable design
The flexible joint structure allows the ball seat Union to be quickly disassembled without disassembling the entire pipeline, which is convenient for:
(1) replacing aging hoses or repairing pipe fittings;
(2) cleaning impurities inside the pipeline;
(3) adjusting the pipeline layout (such as adding or reducing pipe fittings).
