The design of the Compression Plug makes it widely used in fluid systems that require "reliable sealing + flexible operation", including:
Pipe end plugging: used for terminal closure of water pipes, oil pipes, and gas pipes (such as reserved interfaces of household water supply systems and spare pipelines of industrial equipment) to prevent impurities from entering the pipeline.
System debugging and maintenance: During the pressure test and cleaning of the pipeline system, temporarily block the branch pipeline to ensure stable pressure; block the faulty section during maintenance without affecting the operation of other areas.
Equipment reserved interface protection: The unactivated interfaces of new equipment (such as spare interfaces of valves and pump bodies) need to be blocked for a long time. Compression Plug can prevent dust and moisture from entering the internal components (better than the short-term protection of plastic plugs).
Small and medium pressure fluid systems: suitable for media such as drinking water, compressed air, hydraulic oil, refrigerants (such as air conditioning copper pipes), especially in scenarios where welding is not allowed (such as flammable and explosive environments) or frequent disassembly is required to replace welding plugs.

 

 

Selection considerations

 


Thread specification matching: It must be consistent with the thread type (NPT/BSPT/BSPP) and size (1/8"-2") of the interface to be blocked to avoid sealing failure due to thread mismatch.
Media compatibility: If used for corrosive media (such as weak acids and alkalis), it is necessary to select lead-free brass or surface plating (such as nickel plating) models to enhance corrosion resistance.
Pressure and temperature: Select the corresponding level of Compression Plug according to the system working pressure (≤16bar conventional, high pressure needs to be customized) and temperature (≤120℃) to avoid material damage due to excessive working conditions.
