Long Nut Compression is essentially a compression fitting with an "extended brass nut". Its core structure includes:
Long brass nut: The main body is a hexagonal long nut, which is usually 1.5-2 times longer than an ordinary compression nut. The inner wall is processed with a full section of internal threads, one end is an open end (for inserting pipes and ferrules), and the other end is a compression end with a guide cone.
Adaptability structure: There is no fixed sealing surface or ferrule groove inside the nut, only a smooth inner wall and an end guide cone are retained, allowing compatibility with ferrules of different thicknesses (single ferrule, double ferrules), pipes of different materials (copper pipes, stainless steel pipes, hard plastic pipes) and connector bodies of different specifications.
Standardized interface: The thread accuracy meets international standards, and the hexagonal opposite side size is standardized (adaptable to conventional wrenches), ensuring compatibility with the external threads of most compression connectors.
